If Immigration Reform Will Help Strengthen America’s Security, Then Why…..?
….do some people push against it? Are they not aware that a lot of the negative going on is due to our broken system? Why do they push against it?http://reformimmigrationforamerica.org/b…
For America’s Security
The immigration system we have today makes little sense in terms of America’s security. With few legal options to come in through the system, many seek ways to go around it. The broken system has spawned a thriving market for smugglers and has generated chaos on the border. A seemingly random enforcement regime targets ordinary immigrant workers and families, diverting resources away from protecting against genuine threats. Millions of immigrants are unknown to the government. Unscrupulous employers have little fear of punishment for recruiting and exploiting undocumented workers and undermining their honest competitors.
Immigration reform will allow more immigrants to come with a visa, not with a smuggler. It will require undocumented immigrants to get right with the law, register with the government, and go through government background security checks. This screening process will separate ordinary immigrants who have come seeking opportunities to better their lives from those who may be exploiting opportunities a broken system provides to those who may be coming to do us harm.
Enforcement resources can then be trained on employers who flaunt labor laws and exploit undocumented immigrants, on smugglers who traffic in drugs and guns who are creating chaos on the border, and on violent individuals inside the country who may pose a threat to public safety.
By getting ordinary immigrants in line for citizenship and prioritizing enforcement actions to target genuine threats, immigration reform will be good for America’s security.

Because most Americans are spoiled and think that they’re owed something when it’s simply not the case.
Farther more, many don’t know how hard it is to come here legally, I’m sure many of the Americans that are against immigration reform would just like to get rid of ALL immigrants. Not just the illegal ones.
Because they think Obama wants immigration reform just so he gets the minority vote and wins again. LMFAO!!! Those Republicans will invent anything just to make him look bad.
how can giving criminals who enter our country strengthen anything. Look how many are terrorist and gang members. These are the ones you want to give legal papers to. It figures.
When it comes to legislation, everyone has a different opinion.
What bull!
First, we admit 1 million legal immigrants plus several hundred thousand non immigrants each year. There are plenty of ways to come legally–just not “enough” for everyone who would like to come to live here, and those number in the billions, including half the population of Mexico.
Legalization would NOT enhance our security, particularly not when illegal aliens continue to stream into our country because of lax enforcement. We saw with the 1986 amnesty that security measures were NOT enforced in a rush to get as many people “legalized” as possible–and that many of those legalized committed fraud to become so. At least one of these was a terrorist who got legal cover to commit the 1993 bombing of the WTC. Resources diverted to checking the backgrounds of illegal aliens who apply are resources diverted from searching for terrorists. As it is, immigrants face security checks in their home countries before getting a visa. Security checks are a time consuming and expensive process, even when one has not been stealing identities and committing fraud under several names. Simplest solution–deny them jobs and deport them when caught.
Fact is, Greasy, you are desperately trying to show some benefit from legalizing illegal aliens. There is none, except for the aliens and their employers.
