How Do I Get Targeted Traffic For My Small Bedroom Contest?

I’ve launched a small bedroom contest. I’ve been listing my contest in contest directories online in order to promote it. However, I’d liked to try and find ways to promote my contest through less obvious means. Anyone have any good ideas that aren’t obvious? I already know about Youtube, Myspace, forums, classifieds and so forth… anyone got any other ideas?

hi that’s a very interesting question! although i am still racking my head on some innovative touch points…i was just thinking that maybe we need to clarify a few things:

1. what’s the profile of an average bedroom decorator? take yourself, for example – your age, sex, income level, education level, family size
2. what are the attitudes of such a person? is bedroom decorating a ‘fun pastime’ or a ’serious profession’?
3. what are the touchpoints of such a person? doing a 360 degree study of media consumed eg. radio while traveling, internet at work, TV at home, magazines during lunch time.
once done, you could match your budget with the alternatives
